What The Season Brings...

~Sweaty kids, drinking Sprite from the college vending machine.

~Suntanned backs and red cheeks.

~Scrambles for long socks and black shoes and balls.

~Sips of ice cold water on the playing field.

~Swings and slides for the younger set.

~Sideline voices, out of practice and hoarse.

~Subway sandwiches for dinner.

~Sleepy kids, freshly bathed and tucked into bed early.

~Sounds of Narnia on cd, the TV neglected for days.

Guess what beloved season we are experiencing at the Nut House?

Hint: Starts with the same first letter as each of my sentences...

Okay, you sound much more positive about the whole soccer idea than I feel. My kids are playing their first season. The practice situation is not ideal, at least not with a baby who only likes to sleep in a quiet, dark closet and not a sunny, windy soccer field. I need to work on getting closer to your mindset. :)

LOL Nicole!

You have to remember that I am a soccer player myself,(LOVE the game) and that I (unfortunately) don't have little bundle of joy to contend with on the sidelines...

My sister plays collegiate soccer and we went from her first game of the season to my boys' and Little Boo's practices yesterday.

What beautiful soccer weather we had!

'tis the season ... ENJOY.

Short course season for swimming starts. For us swimming never stops, but we switch pool lengths from 25 y (short course) to 50M (long course). Swim meets get heavy in the fall/early winter and then late spring/early summer.

It certainly is time for quick meals, extra laundry, and lots more driving ;)
