We ended up selling our home with the closing date fast-approaching and not a single prospect for a future abode. I was a wreck.
The conclusion to this real life thriller is two-fold.
First, it entailed me laying down my pride and asking EVERYONE on my local email list for help in finding us a home.
Second, it required our lovely across-the-street neighbors to lovingly pick up my fragile ego and point us to the house of our dreams.
That whole story is here.
This neighbor family has four beautiful children. Their oldest are twin girls, and they are the constant companions of Littles Love and Boo. Their friendship has been a slow-cultivated one. But lately, they are rarely apart. Boo rushes through her homework so she can run across the street, and Love counts down the HOURS until school is over... very very cute.
Anne and Jason have been amazing neighbors. The kind you can call on for... anything. We've swapped kids, treats, movie nights, and the occasional drink on the back patio or front lawn. It's a lovely arrangement. :)
In light of all that we know of them, I am honored to share their story that they have lived and re-lived every year on the girls' birthday. We've seen the slideshow and heard the tale...but to have it all written out, every detail...brings tears to my eyes every time.
We thank God for the gift they are, and especially the gift of their precious girls and the special friendship they share with our daughters...
:)
